Abstract

PT Mada Wikri Tunggal –Plant 1 is a company operating in the field metal component. One of the raw materials used in the production process is subparts. The problem faced is the fluctuation in consumer demand which causes raw material inventory control activities subparts running is not optimal and experiencing stockout as well as overstock thus disrupting the production process. This research was conducted to examine and determine optimal raw material inventory control planning methods. The method used in this research is the ABC classification method,minimum-maximum stock level, and periodic order quantitiy. Based on the calculation results, it was found that the minimum costs for the Nut Special 6MM PJ 5.5-BB (KPH) and Rubber P Step BB items were the costs using the 2 companies' actual method. For the Nut Welding M6 MM BB item, the minimum inventory cost is the cost using the POQ method.
