Abstract

Nanotechnology is an innovative field that promises great benefits for various fields such as industry and commerce, including construction and the built environment. Nanotechnology concerns the design, implementation, and utilization of functional characteristics with at least one performance element measured in nanometers. Nanotechnology has been used in recent decades in the construction of road networks to improve the life cycle of asphalt and reduce maintenance costs. This research aims to analyze the marshall properties and durability of AC-WC mixtures using carbon nano powder.Test objects were made based on OAC to find the marshall property and durability values.With values with increasing Stability, Flow and VFWA values. Then there was a decrease in the VIM and VMA values. Where the results are in accordance with the specifications. The results of durability testing on the AC-WC mixture with the addition of carbon nano powder variations of 0 ppm, 200 ppm, 1000 ppm and 2000 ppm showed that the RMS (Retained Marshall Stability) values were 90.234%, 90.265%, 91.40% and 93.90% . Based on the 2018 Bina Marga specifications, the RMS value requirement is ≥ 90%, which means it can be concluded that the addition of carbon nano powder can make the AC-WC mixture more durable.
