Abstract
This research aims [1] To find out the field conditions related to forms of physical violence that occur in the Klaten area, which are the main priorities of the Klaten Child Protection Agency (LPA). [2] To find out how the activities of the Klaten District Child Protection Agency (LPA) in handling every case of physical violence that occurs in children. [3] To find out the supporting and inhibiting factors of these activities by connecting from the perspective of Islamic law in Indonesia, especially from the perspective of Muhammadiyah. This research uses an empirical juridical approach method, with a descriptive qualitative type of research using the case study method or field research (Field Study). Data collection techniques in this research were carried out using literature studies and field studies, namely by interview, observation, participatory and documentation methods. The results of this study are as follows. First, Cases of physical violence against children in the Klaten LPA area are relatively rare compared to online violence and fraud. LPA Klaten has an important role in protecting and assisting child victims of violence. Klaten LPA's efforts include reporting, evaluating, and providing counseling. Although cases of physical violence are rare, LPA Klaten still focuses on prevention and education. Second, this research shows the important role of Klaten LPA in handling cases of physical violence against children. A holistic approach by integrating positive law and religious values (Islam), assisted by psychologists and social workers. Third, Supporting factors in handling cases of physical violence against children in Klaten include LPA counseling and assistance, LPA cooperation with authorities, and education about children's rights. The inhibiting factors are social stigma and lack of public understanding. Educational efforts and a holistic approach need to be improved to overcome them. The researcher's suggestion for this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of LPA counseling and assistance to victims. Evaluate LPA's cooperation with authorities and integration of Islamic principles. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs on children's rights. Exploring social stigma related to the involvement of child protection agencies. Analyzing the lack of public understanding of children's rights from an Islamic perspective.
