Abstract
Karang Taruna is a youth organization that can be used as a forum or means for the development of every young person in a village and requires every young person who joins to have an aware and socially responsible heart towards the village where the young people live. The involvement of the community and village youth in development efforts is very important, considering that village youth have a role as drivers of change in the development process. The key role of youth in village development comes from the energy and strength they have to advance civilization in the region.The aim of this research is to know the effectiveness of the Village Youth Organization in carrying out its duties and functions in advancing the Village by Karang Taruna. This research uses an empirical juridical approach, where a juridical approach is used to identify aspects related to the Minister of Social Affairs' regulations regarding youth organizations. Meanwhile, an empirical approach is used to analyze and conduct research directly in the field and in community life. This research uses a qualitative approach, qualitative research with a descriptive empirical approach by describing, interpreting and describing the data collected systemically and systematically
