Abstract
Samiran Tourism Village in Boyolali is a tourism village that uses the concept of community-based tourism operated by the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) and Samiran villagers. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach that aims to find out how the implementation of participatory communication in the acceptance of an innovation diffusion in community empowerment of Samiran Tourism Village. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of snowball sampling technique interviews, non-participant observer observations and documentation which were then processed with Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis. As for the validity of the research, researchers used source triangulation techniques. The study results show that community participation in the empowerment of Samiran Village as a tourist village is also in accordance with the levels of innovation diffusion. The acceptance of adoption through participatory communication can be easily accepted by the community because the innovator has succeeded in proving that a tourist village can be formed by utilizing the natural and cultural potential of Samiran Village.
