Abstract
Background: The change in status from pandemic to endemic status allows for different perceptions in preventing Covid-19. Purpose: This study aims to determine the seriousness of Covid-19 in the people of Jatikuwung Village, Gondangrejo District, Karanganyar Regency. Method: This type of research is descriptive quantitative case study. The population is 2394 people. A sample of 118 people. Sampling method by convenience sampling. Determination of the number of samples is calculated by the Lemeshow formula. Data analysis is univariate analysis. Results: The seriousness level of Covid-19 was high at 78.8% (93 respondents), men had a high level of seriousness at 38.1% (45 respondents), the age range with high seriousness was between 49-55 years at 14.0% (17 respondents), the level of education with a high level of seriousness was SMA/equivalent by 48.3% (57 respondents). Conclusions and Recommendations: 1). The seriousness of Covid-19 during the transitional period was high, 2) the seriousness of the disease was higher for men, 3) the age group where the seriousness of Covid-19 was high was between the ages of 49-55 years, 4) the higher education level had the seriousness of Covid-19 -19 is high. 5) jobs with a high level of seriousness are private employees. 6) People who have been exposed to Covid-19 have a high level of seriousness of Covid-19. Residents with low education, workers who interact with many people should apply preventive behavior to avoid COVID-19. Health agencies and local officials should carry out counseling and education about Covid-19 so that people who are vulnerable to disease can implement disease prevention measures due to the variant Covid-19.
