Abstract

Landslides can be interpreted as the movement of slope-forming material that moves down or off the slope. Kismantoro District is one of the districts that has the potential for landslides in Wonogiri Regency. High rainfall can increase the possibility of landslides because Kismantoro District is in a hilly area. The aim of this research is to identify landslides using the Geographic Information System and identify the dominant factors that influence each level of landslide vulnerability in Kismantoro District. The method used is the scoring method to classify the level of landslide vulnerability and the qualitative descriptive analysis method to analyze the dominant factors that influence landslides. The results of this research show that Kismantoro District is divided into 3 classes of landslide vulnerability, namely low vulnerability, medium vulnerability and high vulnerability. Low level of landslide vulnerability has an area of 1123,596ha with a percentage of 15%. The moderate level of landslide vulnerability dominates the entire Kismantoro District with an area of 3630,071ha with a percentage of 48%. The high level of landslide vulnerability has an area of 2732,830ha with a percentage of 37%. The dominant factor causing landslides in Kismantoro District is rainfall. Kismantoro District has an average rainfall of 2154mm/year with the Schmidt-Ferguson climate classification included in climate type D, namely temperate climate conditions.
