Abstract
Tax law is also an important aspect in the development of online buying and selling, not only conventional traders are required to pay taxes but e-commerce traders are also required to be taxed in order to create equitable justice. Tax law itself is very important for the state as one of the state's revenues in running the government and the welfare of citizens. The aim of this research is first to describe the problem formulation and discuss the review of online sales and purchase tax law based on social media, legislation using doctrinal legal methods with the research method used for this research, namely normative juridical. Sources and types of data use literature studies which are supported by statutory regulations, Ministry of Finance regulations and other statutory regulations. The research below uses qualitative data analysis methods. The results of this research aim to find out how important tax law is for social media-based online buying and selling.
