Abstract

Good electricity is very necessary for today's increasingly sophisticated and diverse tools that require stabel and optimal performance. Therefore, it is necessary to measure electrical power which is useful for knowing the quality of the electrical power that will be used for these tools. For measurements, use a power analyzer which is equipped with parameters that will be used, such as voltage, frequency, apparent power, active power and reactive power. Measurements were carried out at the Jatinom District Building. If the power has been obtained after measuring and analyzing it to check the standards that have been set by PLN, then the measurements are carried out to determine whether the place meets the standards or not with the values for voltage, namely 220V, frequency 50Hz and power factor 0,86. After conducting research, it turned out that the Jatinom District Office had a power factor that did not meet the standards, so the researchers tried to improve the power factor so that it met the standards that had been set by PLN in Indonesia. Adding a capacitor bank is a good step because when you take another measurement with the capacitor bank you will find that the power factor has increased which shows that the value meets the standard and is good. However, there are also several factors that cause the capacitor bank to not work and result in it not being able to improve its power factor. At outlet A, the power factor increased from 0,8 to 0,9, so the power factor improvement was successful.
