Abstract

This research aims to conduct a comparative study on the fulfillment of the rights of victims of sexual violence in Indonesia and Malaysia. The main essence in analyzing how the two countries handle the issue of sexual violence and protect the rights of victims. The results of this study identify differences in legal systems and policies that affect the fulfillment of the rights of victims of sexual violence in Indonesia and Malaysia. The role of government agencies and non-government organizations in providing protection and support to victims is also highlighted in this study. Social, cultural, and gender aspects are also important factors in the fulfillment of the rights of victims of sexual violence, and this research highlights how these factors affect the handling of cases and the support provided to victims. How the normative role in enforcement and victim empowerment. The findings of this comparative study can provide insight into the success or failure of protection systems in each country. Based on the research findings, this study presents recommendations to improve the fulfillment of the rights of victims of sexual violence in Indonesia and Malaysia. These recommendations include efforts to improve the protection system, increase public awareness, the role of the government, and cooperation between relevant institutions to create a safer and more supportive environment for victims of sexual violence.
