Abstract

CV. Pradangga Yasa II is a company that produces traditional gamelan musical instruments. Melting and forging are the initial processes in making gamelan instruments, transforming raw metal materials into the finished gamelan musical instruments. These processes rely heavily on physical performance, termed as manual operation. The physical workload is measured through physiological analysis by assessing energy consumption. Workload based on working hours can be quantified using the full-time equivalent method. In this study, it was found that out of 18 workers, 16 consume >5 Kcal while working, indicating a heavy workload. The full-time equivalent results from three work areas; the first area has FTE index values of 0.82, 0.89, and 0.86, falling into the underload category. To reduce fatigue and restore worker energy, the required rest time is calculated based on energy consumption in each work area. Additional rest time affects the available working hours. After recalculating using the entire available time, the FTE index values increased to 1.06, 1.05, and 1.03, which are considered normal.
