Abstract
Based on the 2022 Poverty Profile, East Java Province with a high poverty rate shows that the population has not all been able to achieve a prosperous condition. Poverty that occurs has an impact on health aspects, namely stunting as a condition of health problems in children under five due to a lack of balanced nutritional intake. This happens because poor people are less able to meet daily food needs with adequate nutritional intake during children's growth and development. This research aims to analyze spatial patterns of poverty and stunting cases, as well as analyze the spatial correlation between poverty and stunting cases in East Java Province. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method with a secondary data approach. Data analysis uses the Moran Index and LISA to analyze the spatial correlation between poverty and stunting cases in East Java Province. The research results show that the spatial pattern using the Univariate Moran's test for poor people (I=0.411 and I=0.412) and stunting cases (I=0.074 and I=0.243) in East Java Province in 2021 and 2022 shows the same pattern, namely clustered. This is meaningfulRegions in East Java Province that have similar scores in terms of both poverty rates and stunting cases are close to each other. Spatial correlation using Bivariate Moran's test between poor people and stunting casesin 2021 (I=0.263) shows a positive spatial correlation, while in 2022 (I=-0.070) shows a negative spatial correlation. Meanwhile, the Bivariate LISA test on the poverty and stunting population variables in East Java Province in 2021 shows that there are 4 districts/cities where there is significant spatial correlation, and in 2022 it shows that there are 5 districts/cities where there is significant spatial correlation. This shows that areas with positive spatial correlation are in quadrants I and III, while areas with negative spatial correlation are in quadrants II and IV. Thus, it is known that spatially there is no strong relationship between poverty and stunting cases in East Java Province.
