Abstract

Increasing student capacity at the Faculty of Business Economics, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta and improving learning services, the University leadership will build a multi-storey building, the building is planned to be 6 floors with a total building area of 4500 m2. Before building construction, it is necessary to design the building, building structure and Mechanical - Electrical Plumbing design. The aim of this research is to design the electrical system, AC and ground water tank capacity in the building design. This research method determines the number of light points in each room using calculations and Dialux software, while determining the AC capacity and GWT is done using calculations. The planned load flow is carried out by simulating the ETAP application program. The total GWT capacity in the building reaches 730 m3 to supply clean water needs of 45 m3 and hydrant water needs of 570 m3. The total AC capacity in the building is 3,434,000 BTU/h which is supplied by an outdoor compressor of 3,460,000 BTU/h. The total power requirement for the building is 690 kVA using ACB 1250 A protection and the conductor type using NYY 12 x 1 x 150 mm2 cable.
