Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of active and innovative learning methods and identify supporting and inhibiting factors for the application of active and innovative learning methods in Islamic religious education subjects at SMA Adh-Dhuhaa Sukoharjo. This research is motivated by public and private educational institutions in the current era in carrying out learning activities that are not optimal, teachers just teach without planning in advance and do not use varied methods. This type of research is a type of field research. This research approach uses a qualitative approach. The results of this study concluded that the application of active and innovative learning methods in Islamic religious education subjects at SMA Adh-Dhuhaa Sukoharjo was manifested in several components that influenced each other, namely; Learning objectives, content/subject matter, learning methods, learning media, and learning evaluation. These components are designed so that in their implementation students are more active in learning. These components are designed so that in their implementation students are more active in learning. This method is applied to make it easier for students to know, understand, internalize, and apply the material delivered by the teacher in student life, so that the learning goals of PAI can be realized. Then the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of active and innovative learning methods in PAI subjects include; There are two supporting factors including; teacher creativity in teaching, facilities and infrastructure. While there are two inhibiting factors that hinder the realization of the application of active and innovative learning methods in PAI subjects, namely: lack of teacher preparation in planning learning activities and lack of student motivation due to different backgrounds, such as social environment, cultural environment, learning style, economic situation and intelligence level.
