Abstract
One of the main objectives of this research is to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the judicial procedures applied in the jurisdiction of the Pati District Court in relation to cases involving violence between husband and wife. Descriptive research is the basis of this method, which originates from a normative and juridical perspective. Secondary data types and the addition of library data are also discussed. To ensure that the findings of this research can be accessed by all individuals, qualitative data analysis was used to assess the information provided. The research results showed that the defendant was charged with Article 44 (paragraph) 4 of Republic of Indonesia Law NO.23 of 20014 and Law no. 8 of 1981 concerning domestic violence by husbands against wives, where the maximum sentence is 5 years. At the time of the verdict, the defendant was only sentenced to 1 month's imprisonment, this decision was in accordance with the considerations made by the judge. The judge's considerations are very influential in case decisions. There are juridical and non-juridical considerations used by judges.
