Abstract

Drainage is a building whose function is to channel rainwater as quickly as possible out of the road surface, so that the condition of the road surface and road construction remains dry. Poor drainage performance causes water to run off the road surface and enter the pavement structure, which can cause damage to the road pavement. This needs to be reviewed, because the inadequate availability of drainage facilities results in road damage. This research aims to determine the effect of drainage on damage to the Wirun-Palur road. This research uses primary data in the form of road width and length, road damage (type, level and dimensions of damage), road geometry and channel dimensions and conditions, while secondary data consists of rainfall data for the last 10 years from 3 rain stations. Pavement condition data is analyzed using the methodPavement Condition Index to get the PCI rating value. Data on channel conditions and rainfall were analyzed to obtain the existing Q and planned Q values for drainage channels in each sample unit. The value of the influence of drainage on road damage was obtained from regression analysis. Analysis of the effect of drainage on road damage shows that drainage performance has a significant influence on pavement condition, namely the better the drainage performance, the better the pavement condition rating and conversely, the worse the drainage performance, the worse the pavement condition rating, this can be seen from the graph of the relationship between Q and water runoff. PCI value. The PCI value of the section obtained is 46.143(Poor), handling of pavement damage is determined in the form of Reconstruction.
