Abstract

The last landslide disaster in Salamkanci Village, Bandongan District, occurred in 2021, resulting in road access being cut off between hamlets. Analysis of the level of community capacity in mitigating landslides needs to be carried out to determine the level of community preparedness and strategies for increasing community capacity in mitigating landslides. This research aims to analyze the level of community capacity in Salamkanci Village regarding landslide disaster mitigation and determine strategies for improving it. The method used in this research is a survey method with random selection of respondents. The number of respondents was 93 people spread across 10 hamlets. Interviews were also conducted with respondents using closed question type questionnaires. The results of this research show that the level of community capacity exposed to landslides in Salamkanci Village can be categorized as high with an average percentage of 92.5%. The strategy to increase the capacity of communities exposed to landslides was carried out by forming a disaster care community group in Salamkanci Village
