Abstract

In the world of learning, there are various methods that can be applied or used by educators. So, every educator should be able to carefully consider what methods are most appropriate and effective to use that are most relevant, good and have an impact on learning outcomes. The main aim of the discussion method is to solve a problem, answer each other's questions with the aim of understanding students' knowledge and making decisions. Next, study the study of fiqih. Fiqih means human understanding of religious practices based on sharia according to the Koran and Sunnah. In fact, I chose thaharah as the material for studying fiqih, which means purification from hadas and uncleanness. The type of research used is field research with qualitative methods. Furthermore, research data and data sources, the data used are questionnaires or facts to complete the information in the research, data in the form of primary and secondary data. The research method uses data collection techniques, namely in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of research on the application of discussion learning begin with creating a module and using a guidebook by the fiqih learning teacher at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten. The first stage is for the teacher to determine the topic of discussion that will be discussed. Applied in accordance with the material to be presented. The next stage is teacher or the teacher divides into discussion groups which are divided based on student attendance or seating. Students will be asked to write a paper report as a form of result of discussion. Another supporting factor is the existence of modules, which are useful for providing students with an understanding of the material being taught and increasing students' interest in learning. The inhibiting factor in the method of implementing discussion learning is the character of each student, which sometimes. There are students who are diligent and there are also those who are lazy or embarrassed to ask questions and be active during learning activities. The existence of social media also has an influence today's children
