Abstract

Islamic education is one of three subjects that must be studied and is included in the curriculum of every formal education institution in Indonesia. In Islamic subjects, Tahfidz is one of the compulsory subjects in several Islamic-based schools and Islamic boarding schools. Children who enter junior high school (SMP) are at a developmental stage. At this stage, children experience a transition from childhood to adolescence. Therefore, it is important to carry out duarah tahfidz in the junior high school context to help students improve their understanding of the Qur'an, develop communication, memorization and handling skills, and improve the quality of education. Apart from that, tahfidzul Qur'an also prepares students to face future challenges. One of the methods carried out at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta is by providing a Dauroh Tahfidz program. Therefore, this research has a problem formulation, namely whether the Dauroh Tahfidz program has an effect on students' memorization achievements and how effective Dauroh Tahfidz is on students' memorization achievements. The research method used is quantitative. To measure the influence in this research, the researcher used the t test and obtained a pretest score of 11.38 < posttest score of 13.24. It can be concluded that there is an influence between the Dauroh Tahfidz method on students' memorization target achievement, while to measure the level of effectiveness the researcher used the test. normality gain with one group pre and post test design, from this study, the effective dominance was presented at a level of 322.98%, followed by a low level with a presentation of 38.59% and ineffective at 0.00%. It can be concluded that the duarah tahfidz method has an effective influence on students' achievement of memorization targets.
