Abstract

Implementation of P2BQ or Al-Qur'an Reading Assistance Program is one of the programs implemented by SMK Negeri 6 Sukoharjo. This program is one of the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers to overcome students who experience difficulties in reading and studying the Al-Qur'an. P2BQ is implemented using classical and sorogan learning methods. The classical method is used to provide basic or general explanations. Meanwhile, the sorogan method is used for individual assistance when practicing reading and writing. The number of new students whose ability to read the Qur’an is still below the average. This program will make students aware of the importance of understanding the Koran, so that at SMK Negeri 6 Sukoharjo it is mandatory for class X TBSM (Teknik Bisnis dan Sepeda Motor) students to take part in the Al-Quran Reading Assistance Program (P2BQ). Therefore the author is interested in researching the implementation of this P2BQ in improving students' ability to read the Koran at SMK Negeri 6 Sukoharjo in the 2023/2024 academic year. The author's purpose in researching this is to describe the implementation of the Qur'an Reading Assistance Program (P2BQ) and to describe what are the factors that influence the course of the Qur'an Reading Assistance Program (P2BQ) in improving the ability to read the Qur’an for students at SMK Negeri 6 Sukoharjo Academic Year 2023/2024. The conclusion from this study is that the implementation of the program runs according to time and the motivation of Islamic Religious Education teachers is to encourage students to participate in the implementation of the program, the program will improve students' ability to read the Al-Quran at SMK Negeri 6 Sukoharjo in the 2023/2024 academic year.
