Abstract

The issue of nonverbal violence becomes a problem that is oftenseen, hence researchers have an interest in seeing how the spectator’s reception of nonverbal violence in Pertaruhan the Series. Some figure has solved its problem through a violent way. In this series nonverbal violence is viewed as natural to resolve a matter. This research focuses on the audience's reception of nonverbal violence in Pertaruhan the Series. The research is aimed at knowing where audiences respond to nonverbal violence scenes in the series. The research is a type of qualitative descriptive research, analysed with encoding-decoding model Stuarthall. Researchers use an impressive. sampling to determine sample retrieval techniques. The results of this study suggest that audiences have an acceptance of the nonverbal violence contained in the series’s proceedings. Analysis indicates three distinct informants in the distinct position, two others in the dominant position, and no informant occupies the dominant position.
