Abstract

MTS Muhammadiyah Sangen is one of the schools in Sukoharjo which has an Al-Qur'an tahfidz activity program using the sima'i method which targets students to memorize at least 2 Juz within 3 years, with the achievement of juz 30 and juz 1. The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of the sima'i method in memorizing the Al-Qur'an at MTS Muhammadiyah Sangen Weru Sukoharjo and identify supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing the sima'i method in memorizing the Al-Qur'an at MTS Muhammadiyah Sangen Weru Sukoharjo. This research is a type of qualitative research that uses field studies with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. This research data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. After that, to check the validity of the data, we use triangulation techniques consisting of source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results of this research are the aim of holding Al-Qur'an memorization activities to make students more fluent in reading the Al-Qur'an, so that students are able to memorize the Al-Qur'an even slowly, so that students know where their memorization errors are, and Students are able to apply their memorization every day. Memorizing the Al-Qur'an is carried out on Fridays and Saturdays after prayers and cults. The implementation steps start with the initial activity: reading the alfatihah, then the core activity: the teacher reads the verse to be memorized and submitted then the students imitate, after that the students take turns to deposit, students who have not deposited sima'an with students who have memorized it fluently. The closing activity closed with motivation and thanks to God. As for the steps of the simaan method with colleagues, the teacher identifies students whose abilities are better than their friends to become tutors. After that, students who are less able to memorize the Koran choose their own tutor. The tutor listens to other students' memorization, when there is a mistake the tutor conveys his friend's memorization error to be corrected again. So the peer method is in the middle of the sima'i method. Supporting and inhibiting factors are: supporting facilities, motivation, students taking TPQ at home, evaluation. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are teachers being busy, students thinking about other lesson assignments when tahfidz activities are taking place, poor time management, lack of parental cooperation to control students' memorization, students' lack of mastering makharijul letters and recitation
