Abstract

Electricity is the energy that humans need in life, including in boarding rooms. Electricity payments in some boarding houses are set depending on how much electronic equipment the boarding house occupants bring, which is considered unfair because electricity usage in each boarding house is different. Therefore, the author has a plan to create a tool that can calculate electricity costs for boarding rooms fairly. The tool created has the ability to read how much electrical energy is used using the PZEM-004t sensor and a Wemos D1 Mini microcontroller which can send electricity usage data to the Blynk Webserver and also the Spreadsheet data logger via the IoT platform. The tool also has a display in the form of an I2C LCD so that electricity costs can also be monitored directly on the tool. The results of the tool testing are divided into 4 tests, namely voltage accuracy testing with a reading error of 0.04-0.59%, current accuracy testing with an average error of less than 5%, load testing which has readings that are the same as the measuring instrument. has been calibrated and tested directly where the tool is tested for a long time. In direct testing carried out for 1 month the electricity cost calculated by the tool was IDR. 24,418.32 which is smaller than the cost set by the boarding house owner which is calculated from how many electronic devices are brought, namely Rp. 50,000.00 The tool made is a solution in calculating boarding house electricity costs with more accurate calculations and the tool can function in accordance with The author's desire is a fair and accurate calculation of electricity costs as well as flexibility in monitoring electricity use.
