Physical activity can improve mental health such as reducing anxiety and stress, preventing risk factors for chronic and degenerative diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Technological advances and the convenience that accompanies them are the main challenges causing the decline in people's physical activity throughout the world, including in Indonesia. This research aims to determine the description of the intensity of physical activity carried out by elementary school aged children. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. The sample in this study was 69 school children aged 10-12 years at SD Negeri 01 Polokarto, SD Negeri 02 Kenokorejo, SD Negeri 03 Kemasan, SD Negeri 02 Bakalan Polokarto, Sukoharjo Regency. Sample collection used the cluster random sampling method. The instrument used in this research was the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Older Children (PAQ-C) questionnaire. The results of this research showed that the physical activity that was most frequently done by respondents was soccer, 32 respondents (46.4%), and the other most frequently done activity was playing bicycles, 30 respondents (43.5%).
