Abstract

The traditional market for Wonogiri Regency is an image of a people-based economic center. In this traditional market, local and foreign agricultural products and crafts are bought and sold. Based on this, researchers are interested in studying more deeply the existence of traditional markets in Wonogiri Regency. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the distribution pattern of traditional markets in Wonogiri Regency. and to analyze the reach of traditional market services to residential areas in Wonogiri Regency. The method used is a census where all members of the population are used as samples. The data used are the coordinates of the location of each traditional market plotted using the Google Earth application. This point is used to answer the first and second objectives, which is supplemented with data from interviews with market managers regarding the distance between services in each market. Based on the first objective, of the 26 traditional market units in Wonogiri Regency that have carried out an Average Nearest Neighbor analysis, they have a Dispersed pattern. The distribution location of traditional markets is in strategic areas close to main roads and located in the sub-district center so that residents can easily get to the location. Based on the second objective, the research results show that not all settlements in Wonogiri district are served by traditional markets. There are around 13% of the total settlements in Wonogiri Regency that are not served by traditional markets.
