Abstract

This research aims to (1) find out the motives and strategies for merging 3 Sharia Banks in Indonesia, (2) to find out the challenges faced during the merger, (3) to find out the impact of the merger of 3 Sharia Banks in Indonesia. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with a field study type. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation techniques. And the data analysis techniques used in this research are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The conclusions of this research are: (1) the prospects for sharia banking are bright in the future. (2) The government wants to make Indonesia the center of the sharia-based economy in the world. (3) The merger will enrich the bank's products and services, increase the number of consumers and retailers, so that it will have a greater influence on improving the MSME business with services that will certainly be more effective and efficient.
