Abstract

In this research, descriptive qualitative research methods were used. Descriptive qualitative research is to describe and explain existing activities, both natural and human engineered, by paying attention to characteristics. The aim of this research was to increase knowledge about the income of existing craftsmen and determine the welfare of workers in metalworking. If the welfare of steel workers is achieved, it can certainly increase the progress of the metal industry and can help the rate of investment on a regional scale. Descriptive research Kilat Logam UMKM in Boyolali Regency can increase the income of the people of Ngemplak District. With the existence of UMKM in the field of metal crafts, job opportunities will be wide open and can absorb the workforce in the area so as to create a productive environment with a productive society, the level of economic welfare of the community will be raised and the poverty rate can be overcome.
