Abstract

Pomegranate is a type of fruit that is mentioned a lot in the Qur’an. The mention of the word pomegranate or in Arabic known as Al Rummăn is mentioned 3 times, namely in surah al-An’am verse 99, al-An’am 141, and in surah al-Rahman verse 68. Research with the title Pomegranate (Al-rummăn) In this Tafseer of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, we will examine pomegranates from the perspective of the interpretation of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia and the reasons why pomegranates are one of the fruits of heaven the mention of which is mentioned in the Qur’an, especially in the commentary study of the Ministry of Religion. Pomegranate has various benefits, not only from the fruit, but from the tree as a whole, from the stem, leaves, roots, to the seeds. This research is library research, namely research based on library data and verses related to pomegranates. The type of research used is a qualitative method. This research uses written literature sourced from written reference data in the form of primary data (the Book of the al-Qur’an and Tafseer Ilmi Kemenag Chapter Plants in the Perspective of the al-Qur’an and Science) and secondary data (sourced from information that can support the main data like a books, journals and articles about pomegranates in the holy book al-Qur’an). The results of this research show that pomegranates have many benefits, ranging from socio-cultural aspects to their use as medicine. That way it is not wrong if Allah SWT makes it part of His oath.
