Abstract

The life of the Muslim community, especially in Indonesia, there are still many rich people and officials who perform sacrifices but do not have much impact or influence on spiritual piety or social piety so that there are still many criminal cases such as corruption that is increasingly rampant, lack of concern among social beings and the occurrence of social inequality. This study aims to explain the interpretation of Surah Al-Hajj verses 34-37 and to know the spiritual and social message of the sacrifice in the verse. The type of research used is a type of library research (library research) which is descriptive qualitative. Then the data collection method uses the documentation method. Furthermore, it is analyzed by analytical or tahlili method, which is a method of interpreting the Qur'an that seeks to explain the Qur'an by describing its various segments and explaining what is intended by the Qur'an. This study concludes that Surah Al-Hajj verses 34-37 have spiritual and social values that should be carried out by the perpetrators of sacrifice. The spiritual value in question is the value of piety, namely Taqarrub (approaching) to Allah SWT to achieve piety. The definition of piety is to seek His pleasure, and do it because of His call, and with it you glorify His honors. The social values or messages are First, the piety of the person who sacrifices gives birth to a sincere attitude of giving. Second, qurbani can establish Islamic brotherhood and unity. Third, qurbani teaches Muslims to always uphold social justice.
