Abstract
The phenomenon of lack of self-confidence is known after researchers screened seventh grade students at PPTQ Ibnu Abbas Klaten. The method in this study uses experimental research and uses data collection techniques, namely Purposive Sampling. The division of this research group uses random assignment and uses two variables, namely the dependent variable of self-confidence while the independent variable is social skills training. This research design uses Pre-Test Post-Test Control Group Design. The results in this study amounted to 0.036 (p ≤ 0.05), meaning that social skills training has a significant effect on self-confidence. Researchers used the results of the Paired sample T-Test test on the experimental group and obtained a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.038 (p ≤ 0.05). The hypothesis of this study is proven that the provision of social skills training is effective in increasing students' self-confidence. This study tested the effectiveness by using the independent variable of social skills training and the dependent variable of self-confidence. The number of participants who attended the training was 26 students. The results showed that social skills training was effective in increasing students' self-confidence.
