Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of gender diversity on the board of directors and the board of commissioners and financial performance on firm value in property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022. The company's board of directors and board of commissioners are considered to play a crucial role in achieving company goals. The existence of board diversity in the company can be an indicator of the success of corporate governance practices that play a direct role in supporting company performance and company value. The population used in this study are property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2022 and using purposive sampling method to determine the research sample and 110 observation data were selected. This study uses multiple linear regression methods, namely the F test, T test and coefficient of determination. Before multiple linear regression testing, a classical assumption test is first carried out, namely normality test, heteroscedasticity test, multicollinearity test and autocorrelation test. The results showed that the diversity of the board of directors affects the value of the company, while the diversity of the board of commissioners also affects the value of the company. Meanwhile, the financial performance variable shows an influence on firm value.
