Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out: (1) an overview of the implementation of dormitory pattern education in an effort to improve the quality of Islamic education at PPMI Assalaam Sukoharjo. (2) supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing dormitory pattern education in an effort to improve the quality of Islamic education at PPMIA. (3) the results of dormitory pattern education in efforts to improve the quality of Islamic education at PPMIA. Research paradigm: qualitative, type: field research, with approaches: historical, sociological, normative theological, pedagogical, psychological and managerial. Data sources: primary and secondary. Research location at PPMI Assalaam Sukoharjo. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, documentation and observation. Data validity testing uses data triangulation based on data sources, techniques and time. The analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research are: (1) the implementation of dormitory pattern education in Assalaam has gone well, the activity program is hour-long with intensive, integrated and comprehensive mentoring, coaching and supervision. (2) Supporting factors are human resources, infrastructure, good management and curriculum, as well as support from parents, the community and related agencies. The inhibiting factors are the bad character of students and parents who do not understand Islamic boarding schools (3). The results include cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. Recommendations: (1) Strengthen the selection system for accepting new students (PPDB) (2) Education providers are committed and consistent in conditioning students to adapt, feel at home and be able to study well in Islamic boarding schools. (3) Carrying out good cooperation between Islamic boarding schools, parents, the community and related agencies so that boarding school education effectively achieves goals (4) Fulfillment and development of eight national education standards (5) Management of education based on Total Quality Management (TQM)
