Abstract
UMKM Enggal Jaya is a company operating in the metal casting manufacturing industry. The problem with this company is the large number of damaged or defective products produced. The types of defects that occur include leaks, holes in the product, holes in the product, and loose defects that affect the quality of the product produced. The aim of this research is to analyze the types of product defects and identify the factors that cause defects in Semawar fire ring products, so that recommendations for improvement can be provided. The method used is Six Sigma with the help of the fuzzy FMEA method. From the research that has been carried out, there are 4 types of defects in the period January-December 2022, including hole defects, leak defects, delpis defects and loose defects with the largest defect result being hole defects. From the FMEA and Fuzzy FMEA calculations it was found that the FRPN value was the highest workers do not know the provisions of the production process due to the absence of training and applicable SOP. Therefore, recommendations for improvement that can be proposed are the creation of SOPs for production processes and supervision of the implementation of SOP.
