Abstract

The city of Pagar Alam is one of the cities in the province of South Sumatra which holds the nickname "Rena Besemah" on the inside of the Tanah Besemah juntrungan. This is believed to be because this city is the center of besemah culture with quite a lot of relics of cultural objects as attributes of besemah culture. Existing cultural remains such as megalithic sites, traditional baghi houses, customary rules, languages, scripts, tools, and so on. Therefore, in order to increase all potential while maintaining the arts and cultural presence of Pagar Alam City, and to be able to show Pagar Alam City as Rena Besemah with its various natural, artistic and cultural beauties, with various facts and existing data showing that the performing arts center is a facility which is needed by the City of Pagar Alam as a means that collects all activities related to various performance activities designed to appreciate artistic and cultural creativity as well as an educational, inspirational, entertainment/recreative tool for the community. Performing arts centers or centers for performing arts, which are used for various kinds of banquet-style art performances, are art forums that are shown or shown to the general public by artists (artists) with the aim of providing entertainment that can be enjoyed by the audience. With an environmentally friendly architectural approach, this building will be designed based on a process of considering the land and the surrounding environment which means "designed to have little or no damaging effect on the environment". that can occur due to human behavior that is not environmentally friendly.
