Abstract

This research is to test the intensity of library use by PGSD students at Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta, class of 2020 and 2021, whether there are differences between the two classes. This research uses a mixed research method which combines two methods, namely qualitative and quantitative research methods sequentially, where in the first stage the research uses quantitative methods and in the second stage uses qualitative methods with a sample size of 50 students from the class of 2020 and 50 students from the class of 2021. From the research results, it is known that the class of 2020 and 2021. There is no significant influence between the intensity of library use of students in the class of 2020 and 2021, - t count < -t table (9.777 < 8.224) so H0 is rejected. Therefore, the calculated -t value > -t table (9.777 > 8.224) means that Ha is accepted, meaning that partially there is no significant difference between the intensity of library visits by the 2020 and 2021 classes. And the interview results show that there are differences in the results of interviews conducted with students classes of 2020 and 2021, the differences between the classes of 2020 and 2021 are the motivation for visiting, intensity of visit and duration of visit.
