Abstract

The development of the internet today has become a very important necessity in carrying out daily activities, especially for those who work in an organizational or corporate environment, including business people. The internet plays an important role in business activities and contributes to improving service quality. Therefore, it is necessary to have stable internet access in all conditions. The purpose of this research is to implement load balancing using the Per Connection Classifier (PCC) method and recursive failover to increase the capacity and redundancy of the internet network. Load balancing is responsible for distributing the load evenly among clients in the network and failover uses a backup path if the main line is disconnected. In building a computer network, a method is needed in designing it, for designing a computer network at Toko Mekar Jaya Dakocan using the PPDIOO method. The PPDIOO method consists of several stages, namely Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate, and Optimize. Using the PPDIOO method ensures that no steps are missed when the process is followed. The results of the implementation of load balancing using the Per Connection Classifier (PCC) method and recursive failover on the Dakocan Mekar Jaya Store computer network successfully balance the load on all ISP gateways used, and if one of the gateways is experiencing interference or the connection is lost, then automatically the entire internet connection load is transferred to another active gateway.
