Abstract

Money is a means of payment used by the community that originated from the barter system, which is the exchange of goods for goods. This barter system is not effective to do because it must bring the goods needed to the person in need or the difficulty of finding people who want to exchange their goods for the goods we need. This study aims to determine the effect of Bank Indonesia certificate interest rates, inflation, oreign exchange reserves, exchange rates, budget deficits, and government taxes on the money supply in Indonesia for the 2005-2021 period using Ordinary Least Square (OLS) analysis. The results showed that the Bank Indonesia certificate interest rate variable has a significant negative effect, foreign exchange reserves and exchange rates have a significant positive effect on the money supply in Indonesia. While inflation, budget deficit, and government taxes have no effect on the money supply in Indonesia.
