Abstract

The city of Denpasar is known for its predominantly Hindu population, however around 22.64% of the population is Muslim and lives in Denpasar City. Islamic education is very important for followers of the Islamic religion. In this way, Islamic school facilities really need to be established, especially for the purposes of studying and understanding the teachings of the Islamic religion. This research was conducted because the existence of Islamic schools in Denpasar City is spread unevenly in each sub-district and there is still inaccurate information on school locations, so this research was conducted to 1) analyze the spatial pattern distribution of Islamic schools in Denpasar City 2) analyze the hotspots of Islamic school. The existing research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach with secondary data and primary data in the form of Islamic school locations in Denpasar City. The research results obtained were that the distribution pattern of Islamic schools formed a clustered pattern with a result of 0.228534 and a Z-value of -9.564724. The highest density point is in Pemogan Village, Dangin Puri Klod Village bordering Panjer Village. The population density of the Muslim religion ranges from very dense to low and the number of Islamic schools includes West Denpasar District, which has 17 Islamic schools, North Denpasar District, which has 6 Islamic schools, South Denpasar District, which has 14 Islamic schools, and low density in East Denpasar District, which has 5 Islamic schools. . The lowest density of Islamic school kernel density hotspots is 0 and the highest level is 4.46. The existing Muslim population greatly influences the development of Islamic facilities in Denpasar City.
