Abstract

IKM batik acacia is one of the SMIs engaged in the textile sector and focuses on the production of written and stamped batik. IKM batik acacia also opens training for the public, as well as internships for students. IKM batik acacia is located in Tamanan Village, Banguntapan District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. There are complaints from operators regarding health and safety. The purpose of this research is to minimize the risk of work accidents that occur at IKM Batik Akasia using the HIRADC and FTA methods. The stages of the study began with hazard identification, then assessing the hazards found by multiplying the severity of the hazard with the frequency of occurrence. Then provide suggestions for improvement by considering the level of hazard and frequency of occurrence and referring to the hierarchy level. FTA is used to determine the root causes of hazards with risk levels that are at extreme levels. The results of the analysis obtained 25 hazards which identified 1 column with a low risk level, 9 columns with a medium risk level, 10 columns with high risk, and 5 columns that have an extreme risk level, namely being exposed to strong acids during the dyeing and drying process, inhaling dye powder during the color compounding process, back injury due to doing the dyeing process for a long time, inhaling solution fumes during extraction, fire due to dry cooking water. The five hazards identified at the extreme level are caused by the high likelihood value and the level of consequences.
