Abstract

The village government plays an important role in managing village finances and this is done in the framework of the progress of a village. However, financial management is not spared from problems that result in obstruction of the village government in managing village finances. The purpose of this study was to answer research questions to the research problem formulation to determine the role of the village government in managing village finances in Randusari Village, Teras Boyolali District. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The focus of this research is financial management in Randusari Village, Teras District, Boyolali Regency—data collection techniques using observation (observation), interviews, and documentation. The research data analysis technique is qualitative, and in drawing conclusions using an inductive approach. The results of the study showed: Village Financial Management in Randusari Village, Teras Subdistrict, Boyolali Regency which was carried out by village officials was in accordance with the stages: a). Planning in Randusari Village is said to be appropriate thanks to the good participation of the community in Randusari Village in the musdus and musrenbangdes forums. b). The implementation in Randusari Village is in accordance with the instructions and urgent needs of the village and in its performance it embodies the principle of transparency. c). The administration in Randusari Village has kept records such as the incoming and outgoing money through the village general treasury which is also assisted by the siskeudes and the treasurer has also kept proof of transactions. d). Reporting in Randusari Village is in accordance with existing procedures, namely that the Village Government submits reports on the implementation of village funds in stages, namely the first-semester report and the final semester report. However, in the reporting, there are still excess budget calculations (silpa) caused by the excess allocation of funds. e). Accountability in Randusari Village is carried out well by the local government and to the village community.
