Abstract

Raden Ngabehi Ronggowarsito's grave is visited by many pilgrims for spiritual purposes by several people with very diverse backgrounds.The purpose of this study is to determine the geographic characteristics as well as the motivation and origin of the pilgrims. The method used is a survey accompanied by interviews with several visitors. The results of this study indicate the geographical characteristics of Raden Ronggowarsito's tomb seen from the location of the tomb which is adjacent to a densely populated settlement so that accessibility to the tomb area is easy to reach, considering that there are already road facilities belonging to the villagers. The majority of tourist visitors to the Tomb of Raden Ronggowarsito are dominated by local tourists who come from within Klaten Regency. The main purpose of tourists coming to Raden Ronggowarsito's Tomb is divided into two, the majority of tourists visiting the tomb have the goal of pilgrimage, while a small number have the goal of just having a picnic to unwind.
