Abstract

This research finds out how the media reports and describes reporting on the declaration of Anies Baswedan's candidacy by the Nasdem party in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Online media was not free to report this. Each media also has differences in constructing the news. Researchers used a qualitative approach by conducting a study of news texts on the media Republika.co.id and Kompas.com. The data analysis technique used is Robert N. Entman's framing analysis model. Based on the results and discussion of Robert N. Entman's framing model analysis, the partiality of the Republika.co.id media towards Anies Baswedan and the Nasdem party is due to differences in media ownership ideology. Meanwhile, at kompas.com media, there is no bias in constructing the news, this is in accordance with the online media code of ethics. The two media have different tendencies in constructing their news, this can be caused by different ideologies and media ownership.
