Abstract
This study aims to find out about the implementation of law enforcement in the settlement of cases of child sexual exploitation at the Surakarta Police. This study uses an empirical juridical approach with a descriptive research type. Primary and secondary data are the data sources used by the author in compiling this scientific work. The data collection method was carried out using library techniques and interviews with investigators from the Women and Children Service Unit, social workers at the Surakarta City Social Service, and legal advisors. The validity test in this study used the source triangulation method. Data analysis in writing this thesis using descriptive qualitative. The results of this study are that law enforcement against criminal acts of sexual exploitation is carried out in a preventive and repressive manner without any elements of violence in carrying out investigations. The obstacles in this study were the victims who were embarrassed to be honest with investigators; lack of information when the perpetrator does not want to take responsibility and does not want to disclose the actual incident during the investigation; lack of investigators in conducting investigations in their field. Law enforcement against the crime of sexual exploitation of children is in accordance with the principles of maqasid syari'ah.
