Abstract
The Rattan Industry is an informal small household business that utilizes rattan that grows in areas where people live into a product that has a high selling value and provides an attractive artistic touch to each product produced. This research aims to analyze the distribution of the rattan industry and analyze the impact of the rattan industry on socio-economic conditions in Gatak District, Sukohajo Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis which starts from conducting a direct survey in the field to collect point data on the location of the rattan industry and interviews. The sampling method used in this research was accidental sampling. Then the industrial location point data is processed using ArcGIS software to obtain a distribution map and nearest neighbors (ANN) analysis results. The results of this ANN research show that the distribution of industrial location points is clustered in one location, namely in Trangsan Village. The rattan industry also has social impacts, such as establishing closer social relations, creating a safe and healthy work environment, health problems emerging, and the government's role being unequal. Meanwhile, the economic impact is an increase in people's income and welfare. And the rattan industry in Gatak District has been able to penetrate the international or export market, for example exports to Belgium, India, Australia, Brazil and Portugal.
