Abstract
The Qur'an is a revelation from Allah revealed to the Prophet Muhammad through the Angel Gabriel, as a miracle and a mercy for mankind. By studying the Al-Qur'an which contains instructions and guidelines for life for humans, each individual child can be instilled in the child's psychology and developed through his religious aspects by fostering the basics of faith, science, behavior and morals al-karimah contained in the verses Al-Qur'an. Improving the reading and writing quality of the Qur'an is one aspect that can be improved in order to achieve this goal. By improving the reading and writing quality of the Qur'an, it is hoped that children will be able to practice the contents of the Qur'an in everyday life. TPQ Jamal Al-Fajar Makamhaji mosque is an Al-Qur'an educational park that seeks to improve the quality of Al-Qur'an reading and writing in children through instilling a love for the Qur'an in children. Therefore, the research aims to: 1) Describe the role of TPQ Jamal in improving the ability to read and write the Al-Qur'an in children aged 4-16 years at the Al-Fajar Makamhaji Mosque. 2) To describe efforts to improve the ability to read and write the Al-Qur'an in learning for students at TPQ Jamal at the Al-Fajar Makamhaji Mosque. 3) To describe what factors influence students' abilities in learning activities to read and write the Qur'an at TPQ Jamal at the Al-Fajar Makamhaji Mosque. In this study, researchers used qualitative methods with a religious sociological approach. Primary data researchers get directly from research objects in the field, namely through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the role of TPQ Jamal in Improving the Ability of BTA children at the Al-Fajar Makamhaji Mosque through: 1) Management of TPQ Jamal which is well structured. 2) Preparation of activity planning based on the objectives of Jamal's TPQ. 3) The implementation of TPQ Jamal's activities in the process of learning to read and write the Qur'an runs effectively and efficiently. 4) TPQ Jamal teachers use effective methods to improve the quality of Al-Qur'an reading and writing in children. 5) There are supporting factors and inhibiting factors in learning in improving the quality of Al-Qur'an reading and writing in children at TPQ Jamal from various things.
