Abstract

Adolescence is a period of change in a person's life that connects childhood and adulthood. Adolescence is a transitional phase in human life that connects childhood with early adulthood, adolescence begins around the age of 10 to 12 years, and ends at the age of 18 to 22 years. During adolescence many experience an identity crisis, identity crisis is a problem that can occur in adolescence but can also occur in adulthood. Adolescents who experience an identity crisis often show low levels of self-esteem and self-confidence. The purpose of this study is to find out how the relationship between social support and social support with self-acceptance. In this study, there are two hypotheses, namely the major hypothesis and the minor hypothesis. The major hypothesis in this study is that there is a relationship between self-esteem and self-acceptance, and the minor hypothesis in this study is that there is a relationship between social support and self-acceptance. The number of samples used was 350 respondents. The technique for taking samples in this study is simple random sampling. The results of the analysis of the major hypothesis in this study are the relationship between social support and self-esteem with self-acceptance in high school students which shows a correlation value of R = 0.632 with a significance of 0.000 (p <0.05) with a value of F = 115.556, which means that there is a positive relationship between the variables social support and self-esteem with self-acceptance in high school students. The effective contribution given by the social support variable with self-acceptance is 6.75% and the effective contribution of the self-esteem variable is with self-acceptance of 33.53%. This shows that the self-esteem variable is greater than the social support variable. The total effective contribution is 40.28% or equal to the determinant coefficient R square in the regression analysis of 40.28%.
