Abstract

Qualitative research in 2020 conducted in Waingapu yielded five factors in inter-religious harmony, namely belief in one ancestor, religious dogma, respect, perception of interreligious incidents, and internal attribution. This study aims to carry out an Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) of 26 items based on the five factors that appeared earlier, these items have previously been tested in Waingapu and will later be used as a comparison of the factors that appeared in Sunda, West Java. The content validity of the 26 items was tested on 18 raters using an Aiken V value > 0.65. Two hundred respondents helped to fill out the item scale of inter-religious harmony. Data taken from 200 respondents were then processed using the JASP application. From the results of calculating KMO using JASP, it was found that the overall MSA score was 0.834 (KMO > 0.5) and the Bartlette test score was 0.001 (p <0.05). The EFA calculation then shows two factors which show a loading factor > 0.45. This shows that the theoretical construct of inter-religious harmony can be measured by 17 valid items from the EFA calculation that has been carried out. Furthermore, these two factors will be compared with the factors that appeared in Waingapu and Central Java which have been carried out previously along with explanations
