Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an endemic disease throughout the tropics and can strike at all ages. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is divided into several classifications based on its severity, which at a high degree of severity can result in severe shock with undetectable blood pressure and pulse. In Kudus Hospital, the purpose of this study is to investigate whether or not there is a correlation between blood group and platelet levels and the severity of dengue hemorrhagic fever. During the months of January and March 2023, this study was carried out at dr. Loekmono Hadi Kudus in the Kudus Regency of Central Java. Methodologically, this investigation makes use of a cross-sectional, analytical, observational approach. For the purpose of this research, a sample of 69 people who had been diagnosed with DHF by Dr. Loekmono Hadi Kudus was selected via purposeful sampling. The Spearman correlation test was utilized to analyze the data for this investigation. The results of the study found that there was a significant relationship between blood type and the severity of DHF at dr. Loekmono Hadi Kudus (P=0.001) and there was a significant relationship between thrombocyte levels and the severity of DHF at dr. Loekmono Hadi Kudus (P=0.000).
