Abstract
Overcoming poverty can be overcome by reducing unemployment by increasing employment through entrepreneurship. To increase this entrepreneurship, it can be started from the world of education such as giving lectures both theory and practice about entrepreneurship in tertiary institutions. This study aims to determine the effect of entrepreneurship courses and entrepreneurship practice courses on the interest in entrepreneurship of Accounting Education students class of 2019 Muhammadiyah University Surakarta. This type of research is quantitative with a survey research design. The population in this study is all 2019 accounting education students, totaling 148 students. The number of samples in this study was determined using the slovin formula, which consisted of 108 students. The data analysis techniques used in this study are multiple linear regression analysis, t test, F test, and test the coefficient of determination (R2). The results of this study indicate that: 1) Entrepreneurship courses have a positive and significant impact on students' interest in entrepreneurship with an effective contribution of 31%, 2) Entrepreneurship practice courses have a positive and significant effect on students' interest in entrepreneurship with an effective contribution of 28%, 3) Subjects Entrepreneurship lectures and entrepreneurship practices simultaneously have a significant effect on students' interest in entrepreneurship with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 59%, while the rest is influenced by other variables not examined
