Abstract
Education is one of the things that must be lived by every human being, especially in moral education because moral education is education from Islamic teachings. School is one of the elements of education for students, so schools are required to educate students to become students who are useful both for themselves and for others. However, what is happening in the field, including schools in Boyolali, namely at Teras 2 Public Middle School, there are still many students who have bad morals, such as stealing, fighting, violating school rules and others, so that all actions are needed so that such things do not happen again, one of the actions that need to be done is to instill religious values in students. SMP Negeri 2 Teras Boyolali has also implemented a client-centered approach to students who have problems, so that these students are aware of what they have done and can solve it to the best of their ability and be responsible for what they have done. SMP Negeri 2 Teras Boyolali is the first middle school that has a mission to improve academic quality, implement the Imptaq program and carry out programs that are relevant to the needs so that students are able to compete in entering higher education, have faith and piety, each independently engages in jobs that are environmentally sound. This study aims to describe how to instill moral education through a client-centered approach carried out by counseling teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Teras Boyolali and what factors become obstacles and supports in inculcating morals through a client centered approach by counseling teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Teras. Boyolali. This study uses a type of qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data obtained from primary and secondary data sources. While the data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews and document studies. The validity of this research data uses triangulation, namely source and time. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of the study show that moral education using a client-centered approach by guidance and counseling teachers can make students more confident and responsible. In addition, in moral education using a client-centered approach by counselee guidance teachers has supporting factors, namely having a separate counseling room and open children. While the inhibiting factors are children not open and environmental factors.
